What happens when you download dozens of small applications (many times unnecessary) and install and uninstall them in endless cycles?. Well, the least that can happen is that it will become slow, and most probably you’ll start getting error messages when loading windows XP, and let’s not forget about crashes when you are just about to finish your report and haven’t saved your file. I’ll tell you something, doesn’t matter how many apps or soft you uninstall, some registry entries of unwanted programs will stay there even if you think that you finally got rid of them.

Here is when it comes to play some useful software to fully scan your registry entries telling you which ones are old and should be deleted, some of them even describe to which program did they belong to.

WARNING: This procedure is A double-edged sword, so my advice is to only clean your windows XP registry entries only when you’re 100% sure that it’s not related to any soft you are currently running (and like). If you doubt then leave it right there.

3 small reviews of software to clean windows XP registry entries after the jump.

keepass password safe

As a webmaster and programmer, I found out just in a few months after I began working that my excel file wasn’t safe enough to keep dozens of passwords, and using only one password for any given new account, whether it was for Second Life or the access to my Bank Account wasn’t an option either, then I found KeePass Password Safe, the best free password manager available. Now you only have to remember one master password to get all the other passwords. It does a lot more than only saving your username and pass.

A few months ago, I was trying to download some videos from MySpace using Unplug, a Firefox Add-on, but somehow it didn’t work with that Site (but does well with YouTube and Metacafe). Zamzar, for instance, says that it can convert MySpace videos, well, each time I tried a friendly message appears to tell me that the file I’m trying to get is not supported. Video Downloader did download a file, but threw an error message when trying to convert them. I kept trying with several more programs but none of them was able to get the file. But hard work pays off, and I found a tutorial video on Metacafe that gives detailed instructions on how to download the videos from MySpace, and it worked just fine!!.

free online musicThis list doesn’t necessarily comprise sites where you can actually download mp3s or tunes, it’s only intended for web sites that stream free online music. These are not default radio stations, otherwise I wouldn’t be putting together the list. Something else, for those that feel guilty when downloading a song from any P2P network, I think that most of the sites featured here are legal.
